Manta, Ecuador

Manta Ecuador

Manta, officially known as San Pablo de Manta and located in the province of Manabí, is the cantonal capital of the county of the same name. It has a population of about 240,000 people and an average temperature of 23°C. Unlike most of Ecuador’s coast, where the weather is extremely hot, rainy and humid, Manta’s climate is quite different thanks to its privileged location in the south‑central part of the country. Various factors soften and modify the local climate, making it much more pleasant than in much of the coastal region. Manta is the most important port city in Manabí and one of the key port cities in Ecuador.
