Salida desde su hotel hacia el norte y visita de la “Plaza de Ponchos” en el mercado de artesanías y tejidos de Otavalo, también visitaremos Cotacachi y sus tiendas de artículos de cuero, de camino disfrutaremos los paisajes Andinos que dan El Lago San Pablo y los volcanes Imbabura y Cayambe, es prácticamente un tour de compras con mucho folklore. 08:30 Departure to the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Basilica (includes entrance to explore its towers and magnificent stained-glass windows), Plaza Grande, Government Palace, and La Compañía de Jesús Church (includes entrance and guided visit). Continue to San Francisco Square and Church, and enjoy the panoramic view from El Panecillo Hill, crowned by the Winged Virgin statue. Afterward, transfer to the Middle of the World City, with free time for lunch and visits to the Equator Monument (included) and the Intiñan Museum (included). Finally, optional stop at the Quito Cable Car (TelefériQo) for those who wish to visit it (not included), otherwise return to your hotel. Accommodation.

07:30 Departure from Quito (approximately 4 hours) toward the Ecuadorian Amazon. Upon arrival at the Napo River, board a motorized canoe to reach the lodge. Enjoy a welcome lunch and, in the afternoon, take a guided walk through the Amazon rainforest, where you’ll discover a variety of medicinal plants and a wide range of insects. With a bit of luck, you may spot monkeys and numerous bird species accompanied by a native guide. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at CASA DEL SUIZO (2 nights). After breakfast, we’ll prepare our gear — boots and rain ponchos — to begin our adventure. We’ll travel down the Napo River by canoe until reaching the Arajuno River, where we’ll visit the Amazon Animal Rescue Center. Here, you’ll see toucans, parrots, macaws, various species of monkeys, jaguars, and capybaras. Lunch en route. You’ll also have the opportunity to swim in the river before visiting a local Kichwa family, who will share their ancestral traditions — such as gold panning, pottery making, preparing “chicha” (a traditional yuca drink), and demonstrating the use of the blowgun for hunting. Return to the lodge, enjoying a short walk through the secondary forest. Dinner and overnight stay.

09:00 Departure from the lodge and transfer to Puyo, another Amazonian city, where we’ll visit local balsa wood craft workshops. Continue to the city of Baños, where you’ll have time for lunch and a walk to the famous “Pailón del Diablo” Waterfall. Then, enjoy an exciting cable car (tarabita) ride over the Pastaza River, with views of the “Manto de la Novia” or “Agoyán” waterfalls. Take in a panoramic view of Baños and its main attractions. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Riobamba. Overnight stay.

08:00 Brief panoramic visit of the city of Riobamba, including its Neptuno Park and the viewpoint of Loma de Quito, followed by an ascent to the Chimborazo highlands. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique landscapes of Ecuador’s highest snow-capped mountain at 6,310 meters (20,700 ft), and also encounter camelids such as alpacas and vicuñas in their natural habitat. We will circle around the area before descending to the city of Ambato and continuing our return to Quito, or continuing the land trip to Guayaquil with an additional supplement (*). Overnight stay.
